Store Policies

Trade Credit Policy:

Trent’s Bookshelf offers trade credit for most books. Including serial romance, pocket books, book club fiction and textbooks. We also accept graphic novels and comic books for trade credit.

Audio books, including books on tape and books on cd/dvd will be accepted for trade credit.

All books must be clean and in good condition without mold or mildew and must be complete as originally issued. If it came with a CD it needs to be included.

We do not accept for trade, encyclopedias or magazines including National Geographic. We also do not accept books without covers or those missing pages or otherwise not useable. Books not accepted will be returned to you or if you wish we will dispose of them.

The amount of credit given for any particular item will be dependent on the marketability and condition. The clerk on duty at the time will have complete authority regarding the amount of trade credit offered.

Trade credit may only be used for in-store purchases. Trade credit may not be used for purchases made through the website trentsbookshelf.com or any other location or website.. Book trade credit may only be applied to used book purchases, audio book trade credit may be used toward audio books or paper book purchase. Trade credit may be used for up to one-half of the purchase price of used merchandise excluding the tax. Occasionally selected books may be steeply discounted and not eligible for purchase with trade credit. New merchandise may not be purchased using trade credit.

Trade Credit does not expire 

We do not purchase books for cash. 

Trade Credit policies are subject to change.

Payment Methods Accepted

We accept, checks, money order and credit cards. Online credit card purchases will be processed through PayPal. 

If you are local and wish to pay for your purchase in store you can choose that option as well. Your book will   then be held for you at the counter.

Refunds

Your satisfaction is our goal. If for any reason you need to return your purchase please call 916.683.2665 within 15 days of receiving your book(s).
